My Side of the Fence

The danger isn't going too far. It's that we don't go far enough.

Volunteers Needed

The City Council acted last night to amend the by-laws of the Museum to reduce the number of members on the Historic Resources Board (which is, more or less, the Museum board) and to implement terms for the members.  Previously, the members served as long as they felt like it and there were 15 people on that board.  Now, this doesn’t mean that you can’t be reappointed for as many terms as you like but it does make it easier to take folks off the board who are no longer attending.  15 people is too many for a board like that too.

During the course of that discussion it also came to light that even with the “normalizing” of the numbers on the board that we’re 2 members short.  So, we need 2 people for Historic Resources.  I need 2 volunteers to serve.  In keeping with my tradition of public service, I’ll even provide a link to the application…;)
