My Side of the Fence

The danger isn't going too far. It's that we don't go far enough.

Moderation update

Moderation is off again so comments will go straight thru. I was having some problems with junk posts but I’ve gotten them squared away.

David, shoot yest it is worth mention! There was a nice group for the CALEA (I addressed aging & disability and the support by MCPD) and shall do the same for the FRS. Thanks for the word!

  3. An observation from a local paper that, in light
of current events, may again deserve notice.

“It is a delicate task to keep
Americans in just the right frame
of mind about the war. They must
not be exactly ‘frightened’ for that
would be a bit undignified, and
    unworthy of this puissant nation;
still, they must be solemny reminded
now and then of the of the
things that would make them afraid
if they were were not fearless by nature.
On the other hand, there is the horrible danger
that the United States may be ‘lulled into
false security’. That is even worse than being
scared to death. Apparently the proper temper
would be one of alarm mitigated by faint hope
    – a kind of diluted terror. But those who
seek to be sane themselves, and induce
sanity in their fellows are worthy of all respect.”

  4. Don’t feel bad Andy, you did well as a political
partisan to last to the final few days before
the election before “turning off your moderation”.

Most GOPers and Dems did that months ago.

  5. Personally, Mr. Harrover, I wouldn’t mind if you turned moderation back on again. Over in Mr. Thomas’ guest post’s comments there are these two posters that seem to be going after each other on a personal level, basically complaining that each is forcing their morels/values on the other and one is calling the other names. I don’t mind intellectual debates between posters in the comments but I really don’t want to see personal back-and-forths like that. Just my opinion…
