There is a meeting of the City Council tomorrow night to consider the latest revision to the Fire & Rescue ordinance. The latest code update is essentially the incorporation of the comments from the volunteer fire and rescue companies. Not all of the comments, just the ones that the staff considered low hanging fruit.
The City Attorney will make his presentation followed by presentations from the volunteer departments. At that point, the Council will discuss things for awhile and then dirct some course of action. It is my guess that some changes will be considered and referred to the lawyer for work. Speaking strictly for myself, I would very much like to wrap this up by the end of the month. We’ve worked on this for quite some time and it is time to bring it to a close.

Will Chief Wood be making a presentation as well, it seems as though you are only dealing with the Volunteer companies. I would think all parties would present, that is if this is still a system.
