Last night, the Council took the following actions:
1. We referred the Fire and Rescue conceptual plan to the City staff in order to get an ordinance drafted. That’s supposed to come back by the middle of September.
2. We directed the staff to continue moving forward on the RR crossing improvements so that the RR “quiet zones” would continue.
3. Gave a “sense of the Council” to public works staff to keep moving forward on several road projects. Several of these are being timed to go off at the same time as the Rt. 28 overpass and at least one – south of town on Rt. 234 isn’t associated at all but it looks like hell so we green lighted a reduced project there to clean it up some.
