My Side of the Fence

The danger isn't going too far. It's that we don't go far enough.

Blog Update

Attention!  I've started a clean-up of the left over crud on the blog.  The user accounts that were required for awhile are a thing of the past and I've deleted them out of the database.  This seems straightforward – wordpress has a nice GUI where you check the little boxes next to the account name and hit "delete".  I've deleted all but 2 or 3 accounts.  I don't know if that will screw everything up in terms of posting or not.  I've also updated/deleted some of the older plugins that I use here.  Everything seems to be working ok but If you experience problems, let me know.  Oh, I'm also screwing around with the "permalink" format.  I don't think it'll ultimately come to anything but if you link here and everything stops working, you'll know why…:)

One last thing: If you're going to post here, you're going to follow the rules.  Unlike other places, I'll only allow limited commentary on other folks.  I'm trying to foster policy debate, not ad hominem attacks.  A gentle critque?  Sure.  A too-cute-by-half smart-alec comment?  Probably not.  It's a fine editorial line but it's my blog and my line to walk.  Here's the rulez.

  3. Ciindy, many thanks for referencing Stephen's photo — what a surprise!. We are so proud (and especially because we had nothing to do with it — we didn't even know he was doing it until he won).
