Went over many of the line item revenue and expense funds last night. My initial impressions still stand and the areas of interest are looking to be the same. On another note, there is some bike stuff in the CIP but it’s very small and paid for with gas tax so it isn’t general fund. Several staff members were at the budget session last night but no reporters or citizens.
Totally unrelated: Registration for Bike to Work day is up. We will have a “pit stop” in Old Town behind the train station. Sign Up Now! and get a free T-shirt for your trouble. Of course, you don’t acutally have to bike all the way to work but if we can get folks to participate at some level it might make it worthwhile to do again.

I have a hunch the work session on April 4th where the Council takes up the School Budget may just be one of the most highly attended – aside from this coming Monday night with the nonprofits, and the one on March 23rd where Fire & Rescue is discussed.

Bike Stuff in CIP – yeah, $10K is small potatoes out of the gas tax. For those interested on discussion of the gas tax, come March 9th at 8:15pm when PRTC gives their presentation. As I recall last year, after Al Harf presented, discussion on the tax through 2015 was discussed.
