Into the Crystal Ball

So, redistricting seems like it’s pretty well finished.  There are a ton of elected positions in play within the next 6-8 months and the time for people to announce their intentions is drawing nigh, especially for the State positions!  Our Delegate seat, our Senate seat, the Mayor, half the City Council and half the School Board are up soon.  Wondering what everyone thinks will happen with these positions?

I’ve looked at the new districts and I don’t believe it changes the dynamics for the Delegate seat but it does for the Senate seat.  That seat is now much more friendly to the Democrats and I expect that if a moderate democrat (or R, for that matter) runs there, he’ll probably win.  Many have speculated that an entire stack of dominos might come tumblin’ down if our Senator was to retire and our Delegate or Mayor or other elected ran for that job which would free up that seat, etc, etc, etc….

UPDATE – NLS is reporting that Colgan is going to retire…looks like it is on like Donkey Kong.
