OK, where is William Fair buried? The graveyard has a name so we’ll need that, not just a general place. Yes, this is in the city…:) Hate to admit it but last weekend was the first time I have ever been to this place. It’s a nice bike ride from my house – not too far for an easy family ride.
The prize for this one is a pair of Manassas Coffee cups that I have seen at the Museum before….

Is it the cemetery on the hill over in the Tudor Oaks development?

I’m gonna go with Rose Hill Cemetery.

Mayfield Cemetery aka “Mayfield – Hooe Family Cemetery”. Seen it both ways in the history books about the area, although I think the common usage, since it is Mayfield Fort, is to call it Mayfield Cemetery.
One of the few intact stones up there.

Ray has it. I’m going to have to find some more obscure places for future contests. Honestly, I thought it would be awhile before someone tracked that one down….
Ray – email me so I can get your stuff to you!

This one was easy…the fence and walkway gave it away. I like every now and then to go up to Mayfield and tackle that walk up as it is a good workout.
And a bit more history – Tudor Hall Cemetery (Tudor Oaks) only has a couple of graves in it if I recall. And Rose Hill is our historical African American Cemetery – a bit of legacy to our Southern roots of Virginia before this area went NoVA vs RoVa.
