My Side of the Fence

The danger isn't going too far. It's that we don't go far enough.

Diabetes Ride

I’ll update this post with some pictures and additional detail but I did want to pass on that I did the Diabetes ride today.  33 miles along the W&OD trail.  Steve Thomas signed up for my team and rode with me today.  We raised over $1,200 and I wanted to thank Steve for his support today.  He signed up months ago and, true to his word, he raised the money and rode today.  The heat was tough on both of us but we brought it home.  thanks Steve.

I’d also like to thank Bob and Marci who ultimately weren’t able to ride with us but I appreciated the support.  I would also like to thank all of you out there who donated to the cause.  Diabetes is a crap disease and anything I can do to help understand and get rid of it is time/effort well spent.

I appreciate the support of the community.  Happy Father’s Day!!

  1. It was a great experience and I am glad we did it. I’m sure you would have finished an hour sooner if you rode it at your pace. Beyond the soreness in the quads and a little saddle rash, I feel pretty good. Hope to be there next year, and perhaps a bit better trained.

You did great. I don’t mind riding at whatever pace, I just like to ride. Thanks for your support!
