I must admit that NBC anchor Brian Williams is an enigma to me. When my family first saw him years ago, we called him “The Racoon”. He always looked like he had spent too much time in a tanning bed and you could see where the little cups go over your eyes. That was pretty much the first step in a devolutionary dance with him.
When he took over the NBC evening newscast, he was always a solid performer but never really oozed charisma, intellect or anything else to me. He was essentially a “himbo”. I didn’t watch.
After last nights “Daily Show”, I’m ready to withdraw my earlier opinion and beg forgiveness. Not only is the guy smart, he’s funny as hell and has a wicked sense of humor. He really is one of those guys that I believe most people would love to hang out with. So, I was completely wrong about Mr. Williams and I’ll catch him whenever he’s on a TV show other than the news. However, despite my newfound respect, I ain’t watching the evening news. That format is just done.
