My Side of the Fence

The danger isn't going too far. It's that we don't go far enough.

Steve

This isn't my final post on the subject and I really meant for this post to be a lot longer but I've just been jammed up…however, I did want to get this out there:  Steve Randolph announced last Monday that he would not seek reelection this year.  Steve has prevailed on me to announce this here so that people will know.  He's quite concerned that someone might miss this bit of news and opt out of the race….

I'll post another longer piece soon but I agree with steve and wanted to get this out there.  I've only heard of 3 people that want to run for Council.

While the election is in November, the die is cast on June 10th.

A candidate must file by that date to be on the ballot.

  2. I want to thank Steve for his many years of dedicated service to Manassas. I wish him well in his retirement.

  3. Seems like every community event I attend, I look around and Steve is there. Thank you for going above and beyond, from the shopping carts at Food Lion to the walks at GTS. Thank you for your public service. Thank you for always putting things in historical perspective with the tidbits from the past that you pull from the Journal Messenger! Thank you for your smile and friendly greeting!

Sorry to see Steve leaving the Council, but I am not surprised that he is retiring from Council.  He has been a great council member for many years.  He always cares about what the citizens think and feel, he is always out and about the community and loves Manassas, and he is always the man of reason during controversy.   Steve thanks for a job truly well done.  You do not know how much you will be missed on Council.
