I’ve never thought much of Sarah Palin but I haven’t posted much on her either. I think most Americans believed her to be an interesting figure when she first appeared – a middle aged Mom who was also Gov. of Alaska. Although the cracks started to appear early – recall the Couric interview where she declared that she read “everything” – many gave her a pass (appropriately) as performing under the burning light of a national campaign is a daunting task. She clearly wasn’t a genius but seemed capable.
Fast forward to today and it’s clear that Sarah really has, in any form, about 3 things she talks about. There is no nuance in this woman: she really isn’t a serious mind at all. This appeals to some and that’s their affair but I can tell you that after 5 years in elected office at the local level – living and breathing this stuff every day – that governance takes nuance and understanding. It isn’t simple or easy. Even local governments are multi-million dollar affairs providing services that citizens want and some that are mandated.
Here’s her take on Paul Revere’s Ride. Also, please don’t throw rocks at me – “oh, you never made a mistake?” Yeah, I have but I’m also not positioning myself to run for President. So, without further ado:

Look if the idiot who is President can be elected after the many mistakes he has made then we can give a pass to Sarah. The fact the media covers not only for the idiot but also lunch pail Joe while highlighting every mistake made by a Republican is enough for me to give her a pass.
The media loves to push the notion liberals are smart and conservatives are dumb. Therefore we should never elect conservatives.
Who cant speak without a teleprompter? Not the idiot in the White House. Who thinks there are 57 States? The idiot. Who thinks there is an Austrian language? The idiot. Who has tried using a window at the White House as a door? The idiot of course. Yet we are told he is just the smartest person ever.

If nothing else, she sure does know how to draw a crowd!

Raymond,
And that is exactly why the mainstream media attacks her. She is very popular and to the media only liberal women, who support baby murder, and other liberal policies should be heard.
I’m not a huge fan of her, but it’s not hard to see the double standard being applied to her.

Sarah Palin is absolutely the hottest VP contender we’ve ever had. Just wanted to get that out there…. I’ve been voting since 84 , and regarding whoever is in the White House, my attitude has always HAD to be, ‘could be better, could be worse’. Having Sarah be ‘one heartbeat away’ or especially ‘THE heartbeat’ would be decidedly, ummm, not better.
