My Side of the Fence

The danger isn't going too far. It's that we don't go far enough.

Bike Virginia

I. Am. Crazy.  I just signed up for 35o mile ride over 5 days.  It’s called Bike Virginia.  It’s down around Blacksburg/Christiansburg/Radford.  That means there won’t be a flat spot in the ride.  It’s a cool event and I want to camp out with all the folks and get the flavor but there is just no chance my back will take that crap.

So, Sarah has booked us a room and we’ll stay at a B&B in the area.  I’m both excited and nervous.  That’s a huge ride.  I think I can swing it but, based on the elevation profiles, it could be pretty tough.  I’m pushing the longest rides every day.  In any event, baby, it’s on.  I’ll wear my butt out or die tryin.  Of course, I’ve got a 100 mile ride about 10 days before this starts……:)

  1. It’s all about challenging yourself. And bringing back everything about the experience to get bikemanassas.org and the bike trails moving forward.

Gee, you also say you need to loose more weight….think of how much you will leave on the roadside across the miles 🙂

  3. And you say my 10K swims are crazy? 5 days? It’ll be saddle-rash city. Good OnYa!

  4. When’s the 100 miles to nowhere?
