We have had another tradegy in GTS. I’m just heartbroken for my City. More lives ended.
I’m tired of this. I’ll be shopping my version of a plan in short order. I’ve been working on it for about 3 months now. It was going to be another Manassas Next style movie but we don’t have time for that. I ‘m not prepared to talk about it yet – I have to get it to the Council first but it is on the way. It won’t cure all ills immediately but I’m trying.
UPDATE: The police have now announced that the suspect in the triple murder is an illegal alien who was ordered deported almost 10 years ago. Way to go ICE.
UPDATE 2: ICE has announced this morning that they have placed an immigration detainer on the suspect. Thanks ICE but I think we’ll take it from here.

Ask Jackson about it. It is a hard and fast rule. I’ve talked to many different officials and lawyers about it and the result is fairly uniform. Localities only have the authority explicitly granted them.
Is it a fair or sensible rule? Back when it was first promulgated it probably was but it is a leftover of a bygone era. Some argue that it’s a more “conservative” way to govern but if you look at CNBC’s list of top states to do business in, non-dillon rule states are proportionally represented….

Courts and laws both at one time said slavery was legal too.
We are in dire times, and that requires innovated ideas to fix the problem.

Much of the ‘gang’ problem in GTS is an intermixed problem with neighborhoods in PWC and Fairfax County. The DC police have been successful in closing off a neighborhood by having checkpoints at all entrances and if you don’t have proof you live there, you don’t get in. Why can’t the City do this?
