It’s been a slow week. Had to chair the Council meeting this week as the Mayor was out of town. It doesn’t happen hardly ever and it was enjoyable. Yesterday my back went out again – it’s a nerve, disc thing and it flares up about once a year or so. I hope that it clears up by late tomorrow – I’m supposed to speak at a conference on Friday and it would be nice if I can stand…:)
Also, the Tour de France is on now so that is swallowing about 2 hours a day in TV time. It’s weird to go from about 15 minutes a day of TV time to 2-3 hours. Most of the flat stages go pretty fast though – there isn’t much that happens until right at the end anyways. The mountain stages are a lot more exciting….
I’ll post an update back when I get back from the conference…
Oh, also, Cindy Brookshire sent me the following information: The Prince William County Continuum of Care’s Community Forum on the Draft Ten Year Plan to End Homelessness Tues., July 20, 10 a.m. to noon at Westminster at Lake Ridge Retirement Community, 12191 Clipper Dr., Woodbridge and again on Mon., July 26 from 7 to 9 pm at Trinity Episcopal Church, 9325 West St., Manassas. Questions? Contact Frances Harris at 703-441-8606.
Check it out if you’re interested. Cindy is a very involved citizen and her involvement in all things Manassas is certainly an inspiration to me…..
