My Side of the Fence

The danger isn't going too far. It's that we don't go far enough.

Who wants coffee?

So, we'll have our first CIP meeting tomorrow – aka "Wednesday".  This will be the first of a bunch of meetings on the CIP and the strategic plan so that the Council can sort all of this out.  The first meeting shouldn't bee like forever long but it'll be several hours at least.  So, in order to try to be accessible to folks, Ima beee at Simply Sweet on Main Thursday morning at 7:30 if anyone wants to kick it around.  Cooofffeee Tawlk.

  1. "Kawfy tawk."

  2. Thanks for the meet-up as it was a good one.  Getting a little dismayed (for a softer word I use that) the mindset of some is that every planning document being produced must equal a tax increase and be twisted that way. This City may get bogged down going nowhere if every planning document is twisted to ignore identifying priorities smarter folks already know we are going to have to pay for.

And when it comes to any sewer or stormwater project in the list, I just shake my head at the fact the Council passed a long ordinance related to sewer/stormwater affecting businesses and right down to individual homeowners, and yet some debate why we should be doing them.  Guess what is good for the goose, is not good for the gander.

  3. Sorry I missed it.  Hope to get back to Simple Sweet on Main before it changes it's name to Grounds Central Station in March!
